The power supply unit consists of a switching regulator

which converts the AC line voltage

to the DC voltages (for example, +24

used by the scanner.

board uses a 120 V input type, and the

board uses a 220/240 V input type.

1.9.4 Carriage Assembly (Scanner Head)

The carriage assembly (scanner head) is a 600 dpi CCD (charge coupled device) line sensor. This
unit has OP amplifier and 10-bits A/D converter. It send digital data to the main controller board.
The carriage assembly also contains the RGB noble-gas fluorescent lamps.
