Text Detection

When you select 

On

, the text file is converted to a PostScript file when printing. This setting 

is available only when you select 

PS3

 in the Emulation Menu.

PDF Page Size

Specifies the paper size when you send the PDF file directory from a computer or some 
other device. If 

Auto

 is selected, the paper size is determined based on the size of the first 

page that is printed.

Password Config Menu

This menu allows you to restrict operation of the printer.

The default password is 

Null

. You can enter up to 20 characters for the password.

Password Config

Changes the password. Enter the old password first and then enter the new password 
twice.

To enter the password, press the

Down

Up

 button to select the character and press

 button to determine the character. After all characters are determined, select

 button.

Limitation

Changes the restriction range. When

 is selected, the password is required to
