WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS 

 Open windows 

 Do not try to light any appliance. 

 Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone 

in your building. 

 Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's 

phone. Follow the gas supplier's instructions. 

 If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire 

department.

Massachusetts installations 

(WARNING):

 This product must be installed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter when installed within the 

Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Other Massachusetts code requirements: Flexible connector must not be longer than 36”, shutoff 
valve must be a “T” handle gas cock, only direct vent sealed combustion products are approved for bedroom/bathrooms, fireplace 
dampers must be removed or welded in the open position prior to the installation of a fireplace insert or gas log.
