The E33 Base Shelf (1⅝” (41 mm) high) and Base Shelf Riser (2⅛” (54 mm) high) are components that 

can be combined to create a riser with an overall height of 2

” (55 mm). This shelf can be installed 

with or without the riser and can be used when the hearth in front of the unit is lower than the fireplace 

opening.  Additional  Base  Shelf  Risers  can  be  fastened  together  to  increase  the  height  in  increments 

of 2⅛” (54 mm). This Base Shelf may be used in conjunction with the any of the E33 surround panel 

options, and it may also be used with the E33 Trimmable Surround. The Base Shelf and Riser are sold 

separately. 

Installation: 

1. If unit is running, turn it off and 

allow it to cool completely. 

2. When using more than one riser 

each  level  must  be  attached 

using  nine (9) #8 T-20 screws 

provided (see Figure 29). 

3.  If  installing  with  riser(s)  the 

Base  Shelf  is  to  be  fastened 

to  the  riser(s)  with  one  T-20 

screw at each end of the back 

(see Figure 30).

4. The leveling legs on the E33 may need to be adjusted to match 

the height of the riser and shelf. 

5. Center the Base Shelf assembly in front of the unit flush with the 

bottom of the unit. 

6. Install surround if required.
