Scaling Factor
The Scaling Factor is used to scale the raw dust reading. The Scaling Factor scales
the raw reading as follows:
Scaled reading = Raw instrument reading x Scaling Factor
The Scaling Factor is applied to the following settings:
•
The Bar Graph/Text display values (used to generate emission alarms)
•
Logged data within the instrument
•
Analogue (4-20 mA) outputs
•
Modbus RS-485 output values
The default Scaling Factor is 1.00. Refer to
detailed information on calibrating the instrument.

Log Rates
The Log Rates option allows the storage rate for the long-term memory and the
short-term memory to be viewed or changed.
NOTE
Only one log type may be selected at a time. Instruments are
supplied with only the short-term log enabled. See below how to
change the active log.
The long-term log is only available on the VIEW 373.
6.8.1
Adjusting Log Rates
The Log Rates option allows the storage period of the long-term log (available on
the VIEW 373 only) to be viewed and changed.

Select
Setup | Log Rates
to display this screen.

Short Term
and press ENTER to adjust the interval (1 to 240
min).
To set the active log for individual sensors, select
More Settings | Edit an
Existing Device
, then select the required sensor and change the
Log Options
setting

More Sensor Settings
The More Settings menu allows users to make advanced changes to sensor
settings as well as to add or delete sensors manually.
Select
Setup | More Settings
to display the sensor settings screen (see

Use the manual method of adding sensors only when manual
control over the order in which the devices are displayed is
required, or if only specific sensors are to be added.
