Ethernet cable: 802.3, Cat5E or Cat6, unshielded twisted pair (UTP). Do not use shielded twisted
pair (STP) cable.
System Metering
The Enphase AC Combiner Box is an AC Solar combiner with Envoy-S Metered for integrated revenue grade
PV production metering (ANSI C12.20 +/- 0.5%) and optional consumption monitoring (+/- 2.5%), which
requires additional CTs.
Wiring Reference
The following lists tightening torque, allowable wire size, and type for field-wiring terminals:
•
20 in-lbs tightening torque for circuit breaker connections
•
14 in-lbs tightening torque for combined output connections
•
45 in-lbs tightening torque for large neutral and ground busbar screws (6-4 AWG)
•
20 in-lbs tightening torque for small neutral and ground busbar screws (12-10 AWG)
•
12 to 6 AWG for branch inputs
•
12 to 4 AWG for combined output
•
Wire type: 75°C or 90°C copper conductors, rated for wet locations
•
Copper conductors only
Create the Map and Install the PV Modules and Microinverters
•
Create the map and install the PV modules and microinverters as directed by the installation
manuals. You can scan this map later using Installer Toolkit and your mobile device.
NOTE
: If needed, you can find an installation map at the back of any Enphase Microinverter
manual.
•
Create a paper installation map to record microinverter serial numbers and positions in the array.
Peel the removable serial number label from each microinverter and affix it to the respective
location on the installation map. You can scan this map later using the Enphase Installer Toolkit
and your mobile device.
•
Peel the removable label from the bottom of the Envoy-S and affix it to the installation map.
•
Always keep a copy of the installation map for your records.
