XI. Options
SwitchMaster Video Switcher:
Enlightened Audio Designs offers a professional-grade 150 MHz video switcher to mate
with the TheaterMaster Encore, Ovation and
Signature
. This video switcher integrates with
the TheaterMaster seemlessly, to provide fully automated, highly flexible, state-of-the-art
video switching. With its matching diamond-fly-cut milled front finish, it mates with the
TheaterMaster both visually and functionally.
SwitchMaster provides six composite video inputs, six S-video inputs, multiple Main and
Tape/Monitor video outputs, and a built-in digital comb filter (composite-to-S-video
converter) for maximum switching flexibility. True 150 MHz bandwidth offers sharpest
possible reproduction of all video signals, including High Definition Television (HDTV).
(For a list of features, see Chapter I.)
Video switching with the TheaterMaster Signature requires the SwitchMaster.
RF Demodulator:
Enlightened Audio Designs offers an RF Demodulator to convert the AC-3 RF output of
most laserdisc players to the SPDIF digital format required by the TheaterMaster and other
similar products. (Performing this RF-to-Digital conversion
outside
the TheaterMaster pro-
tects against possible RF contamination of the musical signal.)
An RF demodulator is required for playback of AC-3 soundtracks from laserdisc players equipped
with AC-3 RF outputs.
XII. Servicing
TheaterMaster contains no user-serviceable parts. Refer all servicing to EAD or to its
authorized representatives. Setting of internal DIP switches, and other minor adjustments
described in this manual, should be performed with the cover on. Do not remove the cover
due to risk of electric shock. Removing the cover also exposes static-sensitive circuitry that is
highly susceptible to damage, and could void the warranty.
TheaterMaster is inherently a low-maintenance component which should provide years of
trouble-free performance. Should servicing become necessary, EAD will make every effort
to promptly repair or replace the TheaterMaster, as necessary. Malfunctions due to parts
and/or workmanship are generally covered by EAD’s limited two-year warranty.
XIII. Warranty
The TheaterMaster is guaranteed for two years against defects due to parts and/or work-
manship. If the TheaterMaster is found to be defective, Enlightened Audio Designs will,
at its option, repair or replace the defective unit. This warranty extends to the original,
registered
owner of the TheaterMaster purchased from an authorized EAD dealer or repre-
sentative. This warranty does not extend to cosmetic damage caused by normal wear and
tear or to damage caused by accidental or intentional misuse.
