Enertech Global
Consumer Instructions:
The dealer should instruct the consumer in proper
operation and maintenance of the unit, as well as
giving them an overview of the indictor lights on the
control board. Also, provide the consumer with the
manufacturer’s Owner’s Manual for the equipment
being installed.
Enertech Global D-I-Y Policy:
Enertech Global’s products may include electrical,
refrigerant and/or water connections. Federal,
state and local codes and regulations apply to
various aspects of the installation. Improperly
installed equipment can lead to equipment failure
and health/safety concerns. For these reasons,
only qualified technicians should install an Enertech
Global product. Enertech Global does not sell
equipment directly to homeowners. Internet
Websites and HVAC outlets may allow for the
purchases directly by the homeowners and do-it-
yourselfers, but Enertech Global offers no warranty
on equipment that is purchased via the internet or
installed by persons without proper training.
Electrical:
All wiring, line and low voltage, should comply with
the manufacturer’s recommendations, The National
Electrical Code, and all other local codes and
ordinances.
Unit Placement:
Special care should be taken in locating the unit.
Try to select an exterior wall away from common
living areas, bedrooms, family rooms, etc. The unit
must be installed greater than 16 inches from any
exterior wall, and 32 inches from any other device.
Air flow should be directed away from the structure
with a minimum 5 foot clearance area. See below.
Climate & Flow:
The flow requirements must be verified by the
installer for each specific application. It is also
important for the installer to pay attention to
the
local climate conditions. If it is determined that the
loop temperature will drop below 23°F (most likely
to occur during the winter months in some areas
of the United States or Canada), then the unit must
be bypassed, and the system must be completely
drained.
Other Installation Considerations:
The SK Series unit does not come with the
mounting legs or the pipe protector installed. They
are shipped in separate boxes on top of, or inside,
the unit.
Installing the Mounting Legs:
1. Flip the unit over to gain access to the mounting
holes on the bottom of the unit. It is best to do this
with two people. The unit should be flipped over on
to a blanket, piece of cardboard, etc., in order to
protect the unit from damage.
2. Take the (4 or 6) 5/16-18 x ¾” bolts provided with
the legs, and use them to attach the legs to the
unit. The *SK040 unit has (2) mounting legs, but
the *SK060 has a total of (3). See Figure #1 and #2
below for details.

Note: *SK060 Model will have (3) legs
Once the unit install is completed, the pipe
protector will need to be attached to the unit.
Installing the Pipe Protector:
1. Remove the side door from the unit. This will
expose the horizontal bracket that the bottom
tabs of the door/pipe protector slip into. See
Figure #3.
