• Turn counterclockwise (looking from above damper) to
reduce spring preload.
Once at the required setting, tighten the upper ring nut (3)
with the special tools.
To adjust the extension damping action, turn the ring nut
(5) at the bottom of the damper.

The ring nut (5) has 30 adjustment settings.
• Turn the ring nut clockwise (viewed from top of
damper) to set a slower damping rate.
• Turn the ring nut counterclockwise (viewed from top of
damper) to set a faster damping rate.
The factory setting is 14 clicks from the starting
position (fully closed).
