Displaying and acknowledging error messages
Type of error
Errors that occur during commissioning or operation are displayed immediately on the local display.
If two or more system or process errors occur, the error with the highest priority is the one shown
on the display.
The measuring system distinguishes between the following types of error:
•
A (Alarm):
Device assumes a defined state (e.g. MAX 22 mA)
Indicated by a constant
symbol.

W (Warning):
Device continues to measure, error message is displayed.
Indicated by a flashing
symbol.

E (Alarm / Warning):
Configurable (e.g. loss of echo, level within the safety distance)
Indicated by a constant/flashing

Error messages
Error messages appear as four lines of plain text on the display. In addition, a unique error code is
also output. A description of the error codes is given on

function group can display the current error as well as the last error that
occurred.
• If several errors are currently pending, use

to scroll through the error messages.
• The last error to occur can be deleted in the "

FieldCare
FieldCare is Hauser's plant asset management tool based on FDT technology. With
FieldCare, you can configure all Hauser devices and third-party devices that support the
FDT standard. It is compatible with the following operating systems: WinNT4.0, Win2000 and
WinXP.
FieldCare supports the following functions:
• Online configuration of transmitters
• Signal analysis via envelope curve
• Tank linearization
• Loading and saving of device data (upload/download)
• Documentation of measuring point
Connection options:
• HART via Commubox FXA191 and the RS 232 C serial interface of a computer
• HART via Commubox FXA195 and the USB port of a computer
• PROFIBUS PA via segment coupler and PROFIBUS interface card
