4-4  Functions 

 

4-4-1  The Ratchet 

The ratchet stops wire rope in position. Refer to”6-3 Operation method of the ratchet device”. 

 

4-4-2  The Stopper 

The  stopper  can  be  adjusted  to  stop  the  wire  rope  at  any  point.  Refer  to  “5-2-2  Installation  of  tools 
(equipment) and adjustment of the spring tension” to change stopper position. 

 

4-4-3  The Fall arrest device (ERL-6S, ERL-8S, ERL-11S and ERL-14S

 

If the spring fails, this device prevents the suspended tool from falling. If this device is activated, read 
“6-4 Release of the ratchet device (ERL-6S, ERL-8S, ERL-11S and

 

ERL-14S)” for directions.
