6.3.2.4.
Editing a parameter
All parameter values can be edited either by highlighting with the mouse and overtyping,
using the increase or decrease arrow keys at the side of the parameter field or the up
and down arrow keys on the keyboard. Save the changes made to the parameter by
clicking on the “Update Profile” button.
If the parameter value entered is outside predefined limits, the value will be highlighted
red and a warning message will be shown. The value should then be edited until it is
within acceptable limits. The predefined limits can be viewed by clicking on the “Fixed
Outer Limits” tab.

The three primary vibration parameters, Hertz, Sens and g are values that are required
to be entered. The remaining secondary vibration parameters are calculated values and
will change whenever the frequency or g level values are edited (refer to paragraph 4.2.1
for details of the relationships). Similarly, the tacho (Hz) value is non editable and will
change whenever the ratio (tacho) value is changed.
The secondary parameters can themselves be edited as described above, and whenever a
change in value is made the value of g will change accordingly (refer to paragraph 4.2.1
for details).

Profile notes
These are specific to each individual profile. Enter up to a maximum of 200 characters in
the box provided. The notes are not downloaded to the simulator and are only available
to view within the utility software.
6.3.2.6.
Selecting a profile for use
A profile set may contain anywhere between 1 and 40 individual profiles. Not all of the
profiles within a set may be required at any one time. A single profile or a portion of the
profiles within a set can be selected for download to the simulator simply by checking the
“USE” box alongside the profile name in the list.
