2 MOUNTING CALIBRATION CHECK JIG
Figure 1 and 2 shows the calibration jig components. Attach the mounting brackets to the fixed plate
of the calibration check jig (as shown in figure) using the supplied set of M12 fasteners.
Fix the calibration check jig to a vertical wall surface by fixing the mounting brackets to the wall using
the expandable fasteners of 10 mm diameter supplied with the jig. While fixing ensure that the fixed
plate is lengthwise aligned as much vertical as possible so that at 0
°
position the calibration check jig

Figure 2 shows the index pin and the five reference holes as seen from the back of the calibration check jig.
The middle reference hole is at 0
°
, next holes on either side are at 14
°
, and the last ones on either side
are at 28
°
. After installation this side of the jig faces the wall. The index pin is attached to the calibration
check jig by a length of chain.
For checking the calibration of the probe, insert the probe from top in the inclinometer guide casing of the jig.
Take probe reading at 0
°
. Ensure that the top wheel (A+ direction) of the probe is on the right hand side
of the jig (i.e. user’s right side).
Rotate inclinometer guide assembly in clockwise direction till the index pin goes through the hole at 14
°
(or
28
°
) in the fixed plate and through the locating hole provided in the guide assembly. Note down the probe
reading, which will be a +ve value
Repeat the process for the hole at 14
°
(or 28
°
) on the other side (anticlockwise direction). Note down the
probe reading. This will be a –ve value.
