Problem: No sound is heard (in Bridged Mode), or undistorted sound is heard,
but with little or no bass; the Standby button halo is lit blue; the status LED
is lit blue.
Reason: The XPA-2 is improperly configured, you have your source connected to the wrong input for Bridged
Mode, or your speaker is hooked up incorrectly for Bridged Mode.
• Check your source, and ensure that your source is connected to the LEFT input.
• Check your speaker connections; verify that your speaker is connected correctly for Bridged Mode
[between the Left (+) Plus and Right (+) Plus Speaker Terminals].
• Verify that the Stereo / Bridged Mode switch is set to Bridged Mode.
Problem: No sound is heard; one or more Status LEDs and/or the Meter LEDs for
one channel are flashing red.
Reason: The XPA-2 is in Protect mode, which indicates a fault condition.
• Switch the rear panel AC Power switch Off and On to clear the Fault condition.
• If the fault remains, look for a shorted speaker cable or damaged speaker.
• Check your sources and source connections (a bad interconnect, DC on the input, or an otherwise bad
source component can cause a fault).
Problem: The halo around the Standby button is lit amber and the XPA-2 fails to
come on when triggered.
Reason: The XPA-2 is in Standby mode and should respond to a valid trigger signal.
• Check your trigger cable.
• Check the trigger settings on your source equipment.
