Safety instructions
- The manufacturer is not liable for property damage or personal injury caused by impr-
oper handling or failure to observe the safety instructions! In such cases any complaints
submitted during the warranty period will be invalid.
- Check the ground conductor for damages – a broken conductor presents a grave danger
in the event of malfunction.
- This gauge is not a toy and children are not supposed to handle it.
- The gauge can be only connected to the tested and protected connections of 230V of
alternating voltage with frequency 50Hz (16A) with earthing.
- The connected load must not exceed 3.680 W (16 A).
- Recommended operating temperature is b5 and +40°C. Higher temperatures,
especially during the measurement of higher loads, can cause overheating and result in
permanent damage.
- Do not operate the unit in unfavorable ambient temperature and in the environment
with flammable gases, vapors and dust.
- For safety reasons, never operate the gauge in wet or humid environment.
- When cleaning and maintaining, the gauge must be disconnected from power supply.
The gauge capacitors are still charged even when the gauge is disconnected from power
supply.
- For use in schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops, the gauge operation
must be subjected to supervision of qualified personnel.
- In commercial institutions, you have to ensure observance of the rules for preventive
protection considering the electrical installations.
- Do not insert needles or any metal objects into the gauge.
- If you find that use of the gauge is not safe any longer, remove it from operation and
secure it against accidental activation. The use is not safe if the unit is visibly damaged,
if it does not work properly, if it was stored under unfavorable conditions for a longer
period or subjected to high stress/pressure during transportation.
Warning
- Maximum distance for signal reception is about 30m. The signal quality depends on the
conditions of the surroundings in the stated range – e.g. walls, electrical appliances and
electric-magnetic interference (light sources, wireless phones, TV, electric lines etc.).
- Before removing the transmitter (i.e. measuring plug box) from the mains socket outlet,
press the “MENU“ button to ensure data updating and preventing it from data errors on
power consumption and relevant costs caused by the interrupted measurement.
- If you need to know overall energy consumption and cumulated energy costs, you can
set only one of these options. The last setting is always effective.
- Time is displayed automatically in the selected format of 12 or 24 hours. Minutes setting
resets the second value. If the time setting is not done properly, data automatic saving
does not occur. After pressing the “MENU” button to save the time setting, the given
position starts flashing. The system saves the setting only after adjustment to the correct
value. (Example: when you change data for the month “01” (January) to the value “02”
(February), the set date 2010-02-30 will be invalid. After pressing the “MENU” button,
number “30” starts flashing).
- The gauge lamp of the transmitter flashes about every three seconds. If the gauge lamp
flashes faster, works permanently or does not flash/does not work at all, unplug the
transmitter from the mains power socket and ensure its inspection/repair is made by a
specialist.
- Do not use the product, if it is damaged or assembling bolts are loose.
- Do not use the product, if it was damaged by rain or it is wet.
- Do use the product only in the dry environment.
- Do not expose the product to direct sunlight and protect it from heat.
- This product is supplied only when connected to the mains power socket.
- Do not connect another measuring socket to the measuring socket.
- Do not connect to the measuring socket an appliance which consumes too much
electricity (e.g. adaptor or charger).
- It is prohibited to open the product. It should be maintained or repaired only by qualified
persons. Unprofessional repair can result in electrical accident or short.
- Children or persons who are physically, sensually or mentally disabled are not allowed to
manipulate with the device as well as persons with insufficient knowledge or experience
unless they are under supervision of a person responsible for their safety. Keep the charger
away from children. It is necessary to watch children and do not allow them to play with
this device.
- When cleaning the device and LCD displays, use only a dry soft cloth. Do not use any
cleaning agents and do not immerse the unit in water!
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use collecting
places for unsorted municipal waste.
For current information about on collecting places, contact local authorities.
If electrical appliances are placed at dump sites, hazardous matters can leak
into underground water and get into the food chain and harm our health and
well-being.
