DCF77 radio signal reception
The radio signal is transmitted on radio waves from a location near Frankfurt am Main in Germany within
a 1 500 km radius. The clock receives the DCF77 signal in hourly intervals throughout all the day. The
radio signal reception processing takes 3 to 5 minutes. During the DCF signal processing, the icon ( )
is displayed. If this icon is not on display, it means that DCF signal is not being received. After a correct
reception of the DCF signal, the icon ( ) remains on the display. If the automatic adjustment of the time
setting is not carried out within 10 minutes and the icon ( ) is not displayed, the signal receiver is properly
located unsuitably (the most common cause). Try placing it on different locations. It is not advisable to put
the clock on metal objects. Do not place the clock near electric appliances such as televisions, computers,
monitors, microwave ovens etc. The interfering electric field of these appliances may reach up to 2 meters.
