Setting U25
There are two ways how to connect the U25 repeater to your
home router or modem:
• Automated connection using the WPS function (only in
the repeater mode) Figure 1
• Manual setting up of the connection. Requires a pass-
word to connect to the network. Figure 2

router and its setting by the WPS function (in
the repeater mode)
U25 contains the function of automated setting
of the repeater mode. So you an easily extend the
range of your wireless network without any
knowledge of the IT technology.
a. If you have already made U25 changes in the settings,
delete them and reset to factory defaults.
b. Push the WPS button on your home router, to activate the
WPS function (WPS icon on your router starts blinking).
Most modern routers have this function. Find a descrip-
tion of this function in the manual to your equipment.
c. Now push the WPS button on the repeater U25 for ca 5
seconds. You need to push the WPS button within one
minute from the activation of this function in your router.
d. The U25 repeater now automatically connects to the
router via a protected WPS connection. During the
connection the blue diode in U25 will be blinking.
e. As soon as the automatic configuration of the connection
has been completed (maximum 2 minutes), your
repeater is ready to use. U25 will transmit the same SSID
network name as your router with the suffix
-ext
f. The password for connecting clients to the newly created
network will be
the same as the original password
to your home router
. You can disconnect the repeater
from the power supply and move to a different location.
