5. If the LED indicator on the lantern turns green, it is possible to use the lantern however the lantern is not fully charged.
6. You can remove the lantern from the seat after the charging has been completed. Put the rubber stopper back so that no water,
dampness or dirt enters into the lantern. You can leave the lantern in the charging seat as the lead-acid accumulator does not
have a memory effect so you can charge it continuously.
Adaptor change in charging seat
In case you need to frequently charge the lantern from 12 V=, e.g. in a car, we recommend you to install the car plug adaptor inside
the charging seat.
1. Remove the cover on the bottom of the seat (see picture 1).
2. There is a crew inside the seat that has to be unscrewed first (see picture 2).
3. Take out the fixation part for charging connector (so that it is not pressed down by the lantern when used in the seat (see picture 3).
4. Take out the charging connector (see picture 4).
5. Insert the charging connector of the required adaptor and make it up the same way as removal.
Bulb replacement
1. Unscrew the cover of the reflector anti-clockwise.
2. Unscrew the cover of the bulb anti-clockwise. Take the spring out and replace the bulb with a new one. Do not touch the glass
part of the halogen bulb. You can also use the spare krypton bulb placed in the holder inside the lantern. Halogen lamp creates
stronger light beam but the burn time is 4 hrs. Krypton bulb creates smaller light beam than halogen but the burn time is 8 hrs.
It is not possible to replace LEDs, their lifetime is at least 50 000 hrs.
3. Make the lantern up the same way as removal.
Changing of accumulator
1. You much switch the lantern off before you change the accumulator.
2. Unscrew the cover of the reflector anti-clockwise.
3. Lift the plastic part towards the switch and disconnect supply leads.
4. Remove the accumulator from the lantern.
5. Place a new accumulator into the lantern and Conner to supply leads (+ red wire, - black wire)
6. Make the lantern up the same way as removal.
WARNING
• You must charge the new lantern first before use!
• The accumulator inside the lantern must be kept charged so that the voltage does not fall under the required level. Hence we
strongly recommend you to charge it at least every 3 months even if you have not used the lantern. In case the lantern does not
light or lights poorly (red LED indicator on the lantern), charge it immediately. If the accumulator is damaged or destroyed because
of breaking above mentioned rules, eventual complaints will not be accepted.
• Use the adaptor type LK-06W080040V in dry and electric proof environment.
• Check the polarity when changing the accumulator (+ red wire, - black wire)
• The lantern is only resistant to spraying water and moisture, do not put it into water.
• In case water enters into the lantern, do not switch it on, take the accumulator immediately out and closely dry the lantern.
• Do not throw the accumulator into fire, do not dismantle or short-circuit it. Wind it ecologically up after life expiration. The lantern
must be ecologically destroyed after life expiration. In case water enters into the lantern, do not switch it on, take the accumulator
immediately out and dry it properly.
