This message indicates that
the transmitter has detected a
shorted sensor condition. The
sensor may be disconnected,
connected improperly, or
malfunctioning.
1. Verify the process temperature is within the
specified sensor's range. Use the Sensor
Information button to compare with the
process temperature.
2. Verify the sensor is properly wired and
connected to the terminals.
3. Verify the integrity of the sensor and sensor
lead wires. If the sensor is faulty, repair or
replace the sensor.

1. Verify the ambient temperature is within the
device specified operating range using the
