The relevant parameters are stored in registers 40001- 40026 (see Table B-1 ).All parameters are stored
as IEEE754 floating points. Therefore, each parameter is stored in two consecutive registers. The byte
sending order is from high to low.
B.3 Communication examples
Communication examples for a Rosemount 5708 with polling address 0:
Example A

To retrieve the average distance, we send:
01 03 00 00 00 02 C4 0B

A sample reply would be:
01 03 04 3D 85 1E 20 EE 0E
This means that Distance = 0x3D851E20, which represents a float value of “0.065”.
Example B
To acquire all relevant parameters, we send:
01 03 00 00 00 1A C4 01
Note
Mass value is in the chosen configured units and relevant only if the device linearization is configured to
mass.
