Installing the Valve
The maximum allowable inlet pressures for Control-Disk valves are consistent with the applicable ASME
pressure/temperature ratings except where limited by the material capabilities as shown in table 2 or figure 2.
Refer to table 5 for the quantity and size of line bolting required to install the valve in the pipeline.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the valve disk during installation, the valve must be in the fully closed position. If the Control-Disk valve
is equipped with a fail‐open actuator, remove the actuator before installing the valve/actuator assembly or cycle the valve
into the fully closed position. Then, take appropriate steps to be sure that the actuator does not cause the valve to open
during installation.
