WARNING
On an explosion‐proof instrument, remove electrical power before removing the covers in a hazardous area. Personal
injury or property damage may result from fire or explosion if power is applied to the instrument with the covers removed,
in a hazardous area.
On an intrinsically safe instrument, current monitoring during operation must be with a meter approved for hazardous
areas.

IDENTIFICATION LABEL
1. Remove power from the instrument.
2. Connect the digital voltmeter (DVM) leads as follows:
a . For all transmitters (except a 4212 or 4222) connect between TP3 (+) and TP4 (-) on the printed wiring board.
b . For a 4212 or 4222 transmitter, connect the DVM between TP5 (+) and TP6 (-).
3. Loosen the appropriate set screw connecting the potentiometer shaft to the linkage:
