FE260 GSM/GPRS version with ComTSC modem application
7.3.7.1 General details of the TSC system
General details of the TSC system, see section 7.1.5.1 on page 57.
i
This operating mode only works, if the FE260 includes one of the following
two GSM/GPRS modem modules.
Integra "M2106+" or "M2106B" with firmware V6.57e and the application
"ComTSC" (Delivery before April 2014), verifiable by the modem sticker
illustrated on the right.
ECM-GW120 with firmware V7.4
7.6 and the application "ComTSC"
(Delivery before April 2014), verifiable by the modem sticker illustrated on
the right.
i
If the FE260 includes an ECM-GW120 with the modem sticker illustrated on
the right, it cannot be parameterized for TSC operation!
Initial conditions:
The FE260 is connected and configured as described in chapter 7.3.1.
The SIM card is inserted and unlocked as described in chapter 7.3.2.
7.3.7.2 Parametrization of the EK280
i
For parameterization of the EK280 you will require a connection cable for the optical interface as
well as the enSuite application, which can be downloaded for free at www.elster-instromet.com.
The procedure is as described in Section 7.3.5.1 on page 89. The parameter file to be used depends on the
modem type which is fitted to the FE260:
- Modem type "
ECM-GW120
":
EK280_xvx. - FE260 & int. ECM-GW-120 - ComTSC (*)
13
- Modem type "
Integra M2106+"
or
"Integra M2106B
":
EK280_xvx. - FE260 & int. M2106x - ComTSC (*) 13
7.3.7.3 Parameterization of the GPRS-ComTSC-Modem in the FE260
Parameterization of the modem application "ComTSC" in the GSM/GPRS modem may be effected either via
a GSM-CSD modem connection or on location, via the modem parameterization interface on the FE260
modem adapter board.
i
For the parameterization of the "ComTSC" modem application in an FE260, there is also the
separate commissioning instruction (ID No. 73021403) [8], which is included with every FE260
with a ComTSC modem!
For parameterization of the GPRS-ComTSC modem, please first connect your PC or laptop with the modem
parameterization interface on the modem adapter board in the FE260, as described in Section 7.3.5.2
"Parameterization of the GPRS/TCPserv modems in the FE260", page 91.
The actual parameterization of the TSC function in the ComTSC modem is then performed pursuant to Section
7.1.5.3 "Parameterization of the internal ComTSC modem in the EK280", page 58.
7.3.7.4 Checking GSM field strength
See Chapter 7.1.2.2 "Checking GSM field strength", page 48
7.3.7.5 Retrieving data with enSuite
