WARNINGS
To prevent fire and electrical shock, do not expose the instrument in raining condition or highly humid
environments.
In prior to the field use, check if the instrument works properly. If any symptoms of malfunction or
abnormalities are shown, call for a repair service.
The voltage above DC 60V and AC 30V (RMS value) is extremely harmful to the human bodies. When
measuring the above voltages, be sure to follow all the safety considerations described in this manual
to prevent electrical shock.
Make sure your fingers holding the test leads are positioned behind the safety lines of the test leads.
Make sure the insulation on the test leads is in good condition as well as any exposed metal parts of
the test leads. Damaged test leads are to be replaced immediately and safely recycled.
Make sure to remove all the connections and the test leads before opening the case of the instrument
for any reason.
Make sure to use the proper type of the fuse described in this manual
Make sure to use the instrument for those applications described and instructed in this manual only.
Do not use the instrument in the environment near the explosive gas, steam, and dusts.
Before connecting the test leads, be sure to check for the live electricity. If live electricity is present,
make sure it is completely shut off before connecting the test leads.
When the battery runs low, and the instrument makes the beep noise, stop all your testing’s and
immediately replace the batteries in a safe environment. Failing to replace the low batteries may lead
to the serious injuries or electrical shock.
Do not test an electrical circuit or systems which uses the voltages above the 550V.
When using this instrument for the high energy electrical systems, be sure to equip yourself with all
the necessary safety devices.
1.4. CAUTION
.
Make sure to remove your test leads from the conductor before switching to the different functions. When you
are testing LOW OHM, CONTINUITY, and INSULATION, make sure the power source has been shut off.
1.5. Declaration of Conformity
This instrument has been tested according to the below regulations.
EN61326 : Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use EMC requirements.
EN61010-1 : Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement,
control and laboratory use – Part 1: General requirements
EN61557 : Electrical safety in low voltage distribution systems up to 1000 Va.c.
and 1500 Vd.c. – Equipment for testing, measuring, or monitoring of protective measures
Part 1 General requirements
Part 2 Insulation resistance
