Before any maintenance or cleaning is undertaken, it is important that the mains cable is
removed from the wall socket, isolating the unit from any power.
The equipment can also be isolated from the mains by removing the mains cable from the
instrument.
Inspect the equipment casings and all cables before use.
If any damage is found the equipment should not be used before it has been inspected by a
competent person.
Particular attention should be paid to the mains cable at the back of the instrument and the
cable of the patient response button.
To change the Fuses
The fuses are housed in a small drawer located in the mains connector which is located on the
rear panel of the Henson.
1. To change the fuses remove the mains lead from the wall socket and then from the
socket on the rear of the Henson.
2. Use a small screwdriver to lever the fuse drawer out of the socket.
3. Withdraw the fuse drawer.
4. The fuses can be removed and replaced.
6. Push the drawer back into the mains inlet before reconnecting the mains lead.
7. Finally, reconnect the mains lead to the wall socket and switch on.
