OCCURRENCE
ODORS IN REFRIGERATOR
OPENING/CLOSING OF DOORS/
DRAWERS
Door will not close.
Drawers are difficult to move.
LIGHT BULB IS NOT ON
SOLUTION
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Interior needs to be cleaned.
Food with strong odor is in refrigerator.
Some containers and wrapping paper
produce odors.
Food package is keeping door open.
Door was closed too hard, causing other
door to open slightly.
Refrigerator is not level. It rocks on the
floor when it is moved slightly.
Floor is uneven or weak. Refrigerator
rocks on the floor when it is moved
slightly.
Refrigerator is touching the wall or cabi-
nets.
Food is touching shelf on top of drawer.
Track that drawer slides on is dirty.
Light bulb is burned out.
Light switch plunger is stuck. Plunger is
located on the interior door frame next to
the temperature control in each compart-
ment.
No electric current is reaching
refrigerator.
Clean interior with sponge, warm water
and baking soda.
Cover food tightly.
Use a different container or brand of
wrapping paper.
Move packages that keep door from
closing.
Close both doors gently.
Adjust the rollers as needed.
Be sure floor is level and can adequately
support refrigerator. Contact a carpenter
to correct a sagging or sloping floor.
Re-level or move refrigerator.
Keep less food in drawer.
Clean drawer, track and rollers.

Push in plunger to release.
