Cleaning the motor filter

It is recommended that the motor filter should 
be cleaned approximately twice a year or when it 
becomes visibly soiled with the cleaner
being used more frequently.

1.  Remove the dust bag from the holder and take  
 

out the motor protection filter, if soiled wash 

 

the filter

2.  Rinse the filter under lukewarm tap water and  
 

ensure it is dry before inserting it back into 

 

the cleaner.

3.  Insert the filter into position, fit the dust bag  
 

into the holder refit the dust bag and press  

 

close the dust compartment cover.

Replacement of the micro exhaust filter ( Z1550 )

It is recommended that the micro exhaust filter is 
replaced every four months.

1.   Release the catch at the rear of the filter grille  
 

and lift it off the cleaner. To remove the 

 

micro filter.

Note: Replace the dust bag even if it is not full ( the 
pores may be blocked with fine dust particles ) also
replace after using to collect carpet cleaning powders. 
Always operate the cleaner with the dust bag installed.
Use only genuine replacement bags. Dust bag Part 
Number 

E51N.

 

Warning: On collection of proprietary carpet 

conditioning powders, plaster / concrete dust, it is 

recommended that the dust bag is changed.

Some of the preparations contain substances 

which while left in the vacuum cleaner for 

extended periods, could create damage. Many 

air fresheners, household deodorants, sprays 

and polishes contain highly inflammable gas 

propellants. Because of this it is particularly 

important that these products are used strictly 

in accordance with the relevant manufacturers 

instructions. It is essential that none of the above 

products are sprayed directly into the vacuum 

cleaner or any of the filters, hose assembly 

or dust chamber.

 

Spares

New filters and dust bags can be obtained from 
your Authorised Electrolux service provider. In the 
Booklet enclosed with this cleaner.
Please specify the model of the cleaner on 
ordering parts.

2.   Remove the filter and frame assembly, take the  
 

micro filter out of the frame and insert a new one.

3.   Refit  the micro filter and frame assembly into  
 

the cleaner.

4.   Fit the filter grille into position and press down  
 

to lock into place.

Replacement of the HEPA exhaust filter ( Z1560 )

It is recommended that the HEPA filter is changed 
once a year or when heavy soiling is visible, 
depending on the use of the vacuum cleaner.

1.   Release the catch at the rear of the filter grille  
 

and lift it off the cleaner. to remove the 

 

HEPA filter.

2.   Remove the HEPA  filter assembly, and insert a  
 

new one.
