Water softener

To avoid scale deposits on the dishes and in the dish-
washer, the dishes must be washed with soft water,
i.e. water with a low lime content. The dishwasher
therefore has a built-in water softener, in which tap
water with a hardness of 4°d (German degree) and
harder is softened with the aid of special salt.

Your water supplier will be able to inform you
about the hardness and hardness range of
the water in your area.

The water softener can be set manually using the
water hardness switch; it can also be set electroni-
cally using the buttons on the control panel..

Setting the water softener

Adjusting the water softener to the setting given in the
table that corresponds to the hardness of the water in
your area:
The dishwasher must be switched off.

Setting manually:

1.

2.

Remove the lower rack from the dishwasher.

3.

Turn the hardness range switch to 0 or 1 (see table).

4.

Setting electronically:

1.

Press the ON/OFF button.

nated.

If other indicators are also illuminated, this
means that a dishwashing cycle has been
activated. The dishwashing cycle must be
