Place the wrapped foods into the freezer. Make sure

that they are in good contact with the side walls. The

products not frozen shall not be in contact with those

already  frozen  in  order  to  prevent  the  latter  from

melting.
In order to freeze additional products, preserve the

quick  freezing  setting.  Alternatively,  stop  the  quick

freezing mode about 24 hours following the loading

of goods (earlier in case of small quantities). To do

this,  depress  the  button  FROSTMATIC  again.  The

yellow FROSTMATIC signal lamp extinguishes.

If  the  "CONGÉLATION  RAPIDE"  button  is  not

depressed to stop the "CONGÉLATION RAPIDE"

function,  the  equipment  switches  automatically  to  the

normal mode after a 48-hour operation (the yellow signal

lamp  extinguishes  and  the  display  shows  the  inner

temperature). Then, the equipment continues to operate

in  the  mode  determined  by  the  setting  of  temperature

control knob.

Advices:

For wrapping the goods to be frozen, use

- freezing bags and foils made of polyethylene;

- special boxes suitable for frozen food;

- aluminized paper of extra strength.
For closing the bags and foils, use pairs of pincers

made of plastic, rubber bands or adhesive tapes.
Prior to closing, purge the air from the bags and foils;

otherwise, the air promotes the drying of food and, in

addition, occupies space.
Make small flat packages in order to accelerate the

freezing.
Do not fill the special boxes to the brim with cream or

liquid due to the dilatation occurring during freezing.

Remarks for the control services

Piling up plans for determining the freezing capacity or

the  time  of  re-heating  are  available  on  request  directly

from the manufacturer.

CONSERVATION OF FROZEN

PRODUCTS

Attention! Prior to loading the freezer the first time with

food already frozen, the temperature of -18 °C necessary

for conservation shall be obtained.

Conserve only frozen foods that are wrapped in order

to  prevent  them  from  becoming  dry,  loosing  their

flavour or interacting with the flavour of other frozen

foods.
Observe  the  period  of  conservation  or  the

conservation term of frozen product.
Conserve ice creams and fat foods in the lower part

of freezer (near the bottom).

REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRIC BULBS (6)

Prior  to  replacement  of  electric  bulbs,  the  equipment

shall be disconnected from the mains. Unscrew the bulb

and replace with a new one of the same type (max. 15 W)

available commercially or with your After Sale Service.

Danger! Risk of electric shock! Prior to replacement of

electric bulbs, remove the plug connector of equipment

from the mains receptacle or disconnect or unscrew the

fuse of lodgement.
Lamp  specification:  220  to  240  V,  max.  15  W,  bulb

holder: E 14.

PACKAGING AND POSITIONING

Food  must  be  cold  before  freezing  (no  more  than

room temperature).
Food must be packed in airtight and moisture-proof

packaging to prevent it from drying out.
Place fresh food for freezing close to the cold sides

of the freezer, making sure that it is not in contact with

the frozen food already in the freezer.
Never fill the freezer to more than 5 mm below the top

edge.

See under “Helpful hints”.

CAPACITY (7)

The freezing capacity of the freezer is stated in the data

plate (kg/24 hours). Do not exceed the amount stated - if

you do, the freezing time will be extended. The data plate

is located inside the lid.

IMPORTANT

The freezing capacity stated can be utilised to the

full  occasionally  to  freeze  large  amounts  of  fresh

food.  However,  if  the  freezer  is  filled  with  large

amounts of food for freezing every day, the capacity

stated is reduced by about one-third.

LOCK (8)

(Not a standard accessory for all models.) The lock works

as shown in the drawings. Remember to keep the key out

of the reach of children.

PARTITION WALL

The partition wall can be taken out and used to collect

drip water during defrosting. See under “Maintenance”.

BASKET (9)

The baskets are designed for the storage of food which

has already been frozen. The handles can be placed in

two positions, as shown in the drawings.
The baskets can either be placed inside the freezer or

hung on the edge of the casing.

LOW FROST SYSTEM

The patented LOW FROST System reduces the ice-build-

up in the chest freezer by up to 80 percent, which results

in  up  to  five  times  longer  periods  between  the

requirement  to  defrost.  To  get  the  full  benefit  of  the

system, please observe the following points:
The  amount  of  ice-build-up  in  any  freezer  is  very  much

dependent of the moisture of the surrounding air. The ice

will build up quicker in a humid climate than in a dry climate.
