1 - Function Key and Di s play
The FCN Key i s us ed to a cce ss the control s f u nction s . The
FCN n u m b er a cce ss ed will b e di s pl a yed in the di s pl a y next
to the FCN key.
2 - Pro g ram Key, LED and Di s play
The PGM key a llow s progr a m s other th a n the c u rrent
a ctive progr a m to b e viewed a nd or edited. The progr a m
n u m b er s elected for viewing/editing i s s hown in the di s pl a y
directly ab ove the PGM key. When the PGM LED i s lit, the
pro g ram number di s played i s al s o the current active
pro g ram.
3 - Channel Key, LED and Di s play
The CHN key a llow s the de s ired o u tp u t ch a nnel to b e
s elected for s etpoint viewing/progr a mming. The s elected
ch a nnel n u m b er i s s hown in the di s pl a y directly ab ove the
CHN key. When the CHN LED i s lit, the ch a nnel c u rrently
s elected i s in the ON s t a te.
The CHN key i s a l s o us ed to s elect ch a nnel n u m b er s d u ring
F u nction progr a mming. Det a il s a re given in the progr a m-
ming s ection s .
4 - Value Di s play, Po s ition/RPM Key and LED s , ON Key
and LED, PUL S E Key and LED, OFF Key and LED, and
View Key s
The PO S /RPM key s elect s b etween Po s ition a nd RPM
b eing s hown in the v a l u e di s pl a y immedi a tely to the left of
the key. The corre s ponding PO S or RPM LED will b e lit
when either item i s di s pl a yed. Pre ss in g the PO S /RPM
allow s pro g rammin g function s to be exited/aborted
and return s the control to di s playin g Po s ition or RPM.
The ON a nd OFF key s a re us ed to s pecify the ON a nd OFF
p u l s e edge s d u ring s etpoint progr a mming. The
corre s ponding ON a nd OFF LED s will b e lit d u ring the s e
s etpoint progr a mming oper a tion s . (The ON a nd OFF key s
a nd LED s a re a l s o us ed when progr a mming the option a l
le a ding a nd tr a iling edge s peed compen sa tion fe a t u re).
The VIEW key s a llow the c u rrent On a nd Off s etpoint s of
the c u rrently s elected ch a nnel to b e di s pl a yed in s e qu ence,
one a t a time. The corre s ponding ON or OFF LED will b e lit
to indic a te whether a n ON or OFF edge i s c u rrently di s pl a yed.
The >VIEW key di s pl a y s the s etpoint s in incre as ing n u meric
order, the <VIEW key di s pl a y s them in decre as ing n u meric
order.
The PUL S E key a llow s s etpoint p a ir s (p u l s e s ) to b e
incremented a nd decremented s im u lt a neo us ly. When the
PUL S E LED i s lit s te a dily, the p u l s e ( b oth edge s ) who s e
edge i s c u rrently di s pl a yed will increment a nd decrement
when the INC a nd DEC key s a re pre ss ed. Pre ss ing the
PUL S E key a s econd time will c aus e the LED to b link. Thi s
indic a te s th a t the m u lti-p u l s e mode i s a ctiv a ted a nd a ll of
the p u l s e s in the c u rrently s elected o u tp u t ch a nnel will
increment a nd decrement when the INC a nd DEC key s a re
pre ss ed.
5 - MOTION, POWER and CPU LED s
The Motion LED i s lit whenever the m a chine s peed i s
within the c u rrent motion s etpoint s (FCN 1).
The Power LED i s lit whenever the PL uS control i s powered
u p.
The CPU LED only light s when a F a t a l error condition i s
detected b y the controller. A li s t of error condition s i s
det a iled on p a ge A-12 of thi s m a n ua l.
6 - Numeric Key s , CLR/CLE Key, ENT Key, INC and DEC
Key s
The number key s a re us ed to inp u t a ll n u meric v a l u e s
needed d u ring s etpoint a nd f u nction progr a mming.
The CLR/CLE key i s us ed to cle a r n u meric v a l u e s d u ring
progr a mming oper a tion s .
The ENT key i s us ed to a ct ua lly enter n u meric v a l u e s into
the controller a fter they h a ve b een keyed in. F a iling to pre ss
ENT when progr a mming n u meric v a l u e s will re su lt in the
old v a l u e rem a ining in the control' s memory. N u meric v a l u e
ch a nge s m us t b e “ Entered ” b y pre ss ing the ENT key b efore
they a re a ccepted b y the controller.
The INC and DEC key s c aus e n u meric v a l u e s th a t a re
di s pl a yed in the control s PO S di s pl a y to b e incremented
a nd/or decremented e a ch time the corre s ponding key i s
pre ss ed. O u tp u t s etpoint s , s peed compen sa tion a nd timed
o u tp u t v a l u e s a re ex a mple s of item s th a t c a n b e incremented
