Instructions for fitting the emergency tiller:

All components of the steering system must undergo periodic inspection
& maintenance to ensure safe operating conditions. Refer to the
maintenance section of this manual for further details.
Caution
Failure of the steering system will cause loss of control of your boat. Any
change in steering such as looseness, tightness, binding, etc., must be
checked immediately by a qualified person.
Refer to the following section for details on tanks: 3.2.4
Discharges directly to holding tank

The emergency tiller is locatedCockpit locker
Remove cap on centreline of cockpit sole and pass through the tiller so
that its socket fits onto the crown of the rudder stock. Steer directly from
the aft end of the cockpit

No Y-valve: tank discharge only
Be aware that vision from the emergency steering position may be
restricted. Ensure that a lookout is posted at all times.
An emergency tiller can be fitted directly to the crown of the
rudder stock.
