Chapter 5 Troubleshooting

Problem
Possible cause and remedy
1. No picture
• Powerindicatordoesnotlight.
• Checkwhetherthepowercordisconnectedproperly.
• Press .
• Powerindicatorislightingblue.
• Increase“Brightness”and/or“Gain”intheSettingmenu
(see
“Toperformadvancedadjustments”(page11)
).
• Powerindicatorislightingorange.
• Switchtheinputsignalwith .
• Movethemouseorpressanykeyonthekeyboard.
• CheckwhetherthePCisturnedon.
• DependingonthePCandgraphicsboard,theinputsignal
isnotdetectedandthemonitordoesnotrecoverfrom
thepowersavingmode.Ifthescreenisnotdisplayed
evenaftermovingthemouseorpressinganykeyonthe
keyboard,turnthemonitoroffandonusingitspower
button.Whenthescreenisdisplayed,executethe
followingprocedure.Theproblemmaybeimproved.
1. Press toturnoffthemonitor.
2. Holddown whilepressing toturnonthe
monitor.
“x”isdisplayedonthemenutitleof“Information”ofthe
Settingmenu(see
“6-3.DisplayingMonitorInformation”
).
3. RebootthePC.
Toreturntotheprevioussetting,performsteps1to3
again.
2. The message below appears.
Thismessageappearswhenthesignalisnotinputcorrectly
evenwhenthemonitorfunctionsproperly.
• Themessageshowsthattheinputsignalis
outofthespecifiedfrequencyrange.
Example:
• CheckwhetherthePCisconfiguredtomeettheresolution
andverticalscanfrequencyrequirementsofthemonitor
(see“CompatibleResolutions”intheSetupManual).
• RebootthePC.
• Selectanappropriatesettingusingthegraphicsboard’s
utility.RefertotheUser’sManualofthegraphicsboard
fordetails.
