Sharpening the saw chain
Working e
ff
ectively with the cordless pole-moun-
ted pruner is only possible if the saw chain is in
good condition and sharp. This also reduces the
risk of kickback. The saw chain can be re-sharpe-
ned by any dealer. Do not attempt to sharpen the
saw chain yourself unless you have the necessa-
ry tools and the necessary experience.
8.5 Maintenance of the hedge trimmer
(Fig. 47)
The blades should be cleaned and lubricated at
regular intervals in order to ensure best perfor-
mance at all times. Remove deposits with a brush
and apply a thin
fi
lm of oil.

9. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to pre-
vent it from being damaged in transit. The raw
materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Never place defective equipment in
your household refuse. The equipment should
be taken to a suitable collection center for proper
disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of
such a collection point, you should ask in your
local council o
ffi
ces.
10. Storage and transport
Remove the batteries. Store the tool and its ac-
cessories in a dark and dry place at above free-

is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in
its original packaging.
The tool has an integrated wall holder (Fig. 48/
Item M) for hanging it up.
•
Always hold the tool with one hand on the
handle and the other hand on the steady grip.
Do not carry the tool by its motor housing.
•
Secure the tool against slipping if you trans-
port it in a vehicle.
•
As far as possible, use the original packaging
for transporting the tool.
•
Clean the cordless multifunction tool and car-
ry out its maintenance before you put it into
storage.
•
If you are not going to use the cordless pole-
mounted pruner for an extended period of
time, remove the chain oil from the tank.
Briefly immerse the saw chain and the cutter
rail into an oil bath and then wrap them in oil
paper.
•
During storage or transportation, use the sup-
plied safety guards for the cutting blade, cut-
ter rail/saw chain and hedge trimmer blade.
