Switch the Drill/Hammer drill selector switch (3)
to the drill symbol position.

Use a low speed setting
4. Start drilling holes
앬
If you wish to drill a deep hole in a hard material
(such as steel), we recommend that you start the
hole with a smaller drill bit.
5. Drilling into tiles
앬
Switch the Drill/Hammer drill selector switch (3)
to the drill symbol position and start the hole.
앬
Switch the Drill/Hammer drill selector switch (3)
to the hammer symbol position as soon as the
drill bit has passed through the tiles.
6. Cooling the motor
앬
If the motor has overheated, allow it to run for 2
to 3 minutes at maximum speed without drilling
through any material.
7. CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND
ORDERING REPLACEMENT PARTS
Pull the power plug before doing any cleaning and
maintenance work on the machine!
7.1 Cleaning
앬
Clean the tool at regular intervals (remove all
dust, chips, splinters, etc.) We recommend that
you clean the tool immediately after you use it.
앬
Clean the tool with a damp cloth and some soft
soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents;
these may be aggressive to the tool’s plastic
parts. Ensure that no water can get into the interi-
or of the tool.
7.2 Maintenance
앬
There are no parts inside the tool which require
maintenance.
7.3 Replacing the carbon brushes
Important! The carbon brushes should not be
replaced by anyone but a qualified electrician.
