(2) Ensure there are no fumes in the area (e.g. paint, thinners, alcohol, hair spray,
chemical cleaners aerosol sprays etc).
(3) Ensure there is no outdoor source of CO in the vicinity (e.g. a car with engine
running, heavy traffic, heavy air pollution, barbecue fumes etc).
(4) Press the test/hush button to silence the alarm.
If the unit continues to sound it is possibly defective and should be replaced, follow the
instructions in section 7 on “How to disconnect and remove your alarm” and then see
section 11 “Getting the CO Alarm Serviced”.
4. TEST/HUSH BUTTON DOES NOT SILENCE ALARMS:
Hush button will only silence the unit once at CO levels less than 300 ppm CO during
a CO incident.
5. THE RED AND AMBER LIGHTS FLASH:
On power up the red and amber lights turn on in sequence to show they are working.
THIS IS NORMAL.
