Chapter 9 Troubleshooting
User may encounter some problems during using the recorder, this moment user can solve the
problem referring to the following table.
Problem
Cause
Solution
Nothing happens when you press the
“power on” button more than 3
seconds
The power is used up
Charge the H100 pad
Measurement finishes but the
message “Signal bad, measure
again” appears.
An ECG wave-pattern could not be
detected.
Check the user manual and repeat
measurement.
Electrode contact was broken before
30 seconds of data has been saved.
Repeat measurement, and make sure
that the measurement parts maintain
contact with the electrodes for the
full 30 seconds of the measurement.
Measurement starts but the message
“Lead off” appears.
The electrodes are not making good
contact with your bare skin.
Check the user manual and repeat
measurement.
Your body is too tense.
Relax and repeat the measurement.
Your skin is dry.
Moisten your skin with a damp towel
The electrodes have been applied
over clothing.
Apply the electrodes to bare skin.
The ECG signal is too weak
Make sure that the electrodes are
applied correctly. However, for some
individuals measurement may not be
possible.
Lead wires not fully insert into the
lead socket when measuring by lead
wires.
Check the lead wires, and then repeat
measurement.
The measurement signal confusion
Every body’s skin is different, as the
stratum corneum is too thick, leads
to resistance increases and so on, and
may affect the measurement.
If the signal confusion, when user
measurement on hand, suggest to
measure on left ankle; if the signal
still confusion when measurement
on ankle, suggest to measure on
chest.
The unit is exposing to strong
electromagnetic forces.
Check
whether
there
is
electromagnetic interference, for
example, somebody is using cell
phone around user, etc. If there have
the electromagnetic interference,
turn off the equipment which may
