USING THE APPLIANCE - A FEW PRACTICAL TIPS
DISHWASHER
Adjusting water hardness.
Before switching the dishwasher on, check the hardness
of
the water
in your area. This information is available from your local water board, the town hall,
the technical assistance service or you can use the Aquadur strip supplied in the bag of
accessories.
You may not need to use salt. If this is the case, you can go straight to the section on Rinse-aid.
Water contains lime. The higher the lime content, the harder the water. To prevent lime from
damaging your dishwasher, it has a water softener to eliminate lime from water and clean it ready
for the wash. This softener works with salt.
Controlling the salt level.
Depending on the model, dishwashers will have a manual or electronic salt level control.
