PROBLEM
RECOMMENDED SOLUTION
The fan is noisy 1. Make a check to ensure that all the
screws in the motor compartment are set
(do not over tighten them).
2. Make a check to ensure that the screws
used to secure the fan blade support to
the motor are tightened.
3. Some fan motors are sensitive to the
signals that are output by variable speed
controllers fitted in motors. DO NOT USE a
variable speed controller.
4. Operate the fan in “running in” condi-
tions for at least 24 hours. Most noise
associated to the fan disappears after this
span of time.
The fan swings 1. Check that all the blade supports are
firmly secured to the motor.
2. Make sure that the recessed light fixture
and the mounting plate are firmly secured
to the ceiling.
3. If the fan continues to swing visibly, a
swap in the position of two adjacent
blades (side by side) may contribute to
make fan operation smoother.
