If possible, the flow fitting should be installed in vertically running pipe sections
‘Installation Instructions’ on page 22
) in order to prevent trapped air from
distorting readings.
Installation Instructions
The flow must travel from the bottom up.
The housing of the LMIT09 should ideally be rotated so that the
electrical connections point downwards.
If the transmitter is installed in horizontal pipes, the installation
must be performed from below.
NOTICE!
In the event of extremely high ambient temperatures due to a heat
build-up (> 50 °C) and extreme pipe vibrations (> 150 Hz, 20 m/s2),
we recommend using the wall-mounted version of the
LMIT09
with
a separate conductivity value transducer. When using the compact
version, the pipe must be attached both before and after the LMIT09
(see
‘Installation Instructions’ on page 22
The measuring bore in the calotte must be aligned parallel to the pipe's
axis, i.e. in the flow direction of the medium.
Deviations in the alignment can lead to distorted readings
(see
‘Installation Instructions’ on page 22
