Emergency stop
In case of emergency, the grinder can be immediately stopped by operating the power switch.
5
First use
Place the grinder on an even, stable and dry surface.
Screw the tamper to the support. Then proceed as follows:
1.
Fill the bean hopper with fresh coffee beans (max. 500 g)
2.
Open the hopper slide.
3.
Operate the power switch.
4.
To find out the optimum grinding degree, only grind one portion of coffee first by filling only one
chamber of the dosing unit.
Important: Never fill already ground coffee in the bean hopper. Do not put your finger or any other object inside the
coffee bean entrance slot or coffee dispensing spout.
6
Changing the grinding degree
The grinding degree is preset. You can change the grinding degree to achieve an optimum grinding which fulfils your
needs. The grinding degree can be changed as follows:
•
Switch on the grinder by operating the power switch to prevent the coffee beans from jamming between the
grinding blades.
•
Please unlock the setting scale for the grinding degree by pushing down the locking pin on the left side of the
grinder.
•
You can achieve a finer grinding by turning the bean hopper clockwise.
•
You can achieve a coarser grinding degree by turning the bean hopper counter-clockwise. (Advice: The coffee
reacts differently on the effects of weather. Choose a fine grinding degree in dry weather and a coarse grinding
degree in humid weather.
•
After setting the optimum grinding degree, switch on the grinder by operating the power switch. Switch it off
when the level of the ground coffee has increased to the height of the black dosing controller (approx. 1 min).
Advice: It is recommended to turn the bean hopper only step by step to gradually set the grinding degree.
7
Changing the dosing degree
The dosing quantity is preset to an optimum quantity of 6.5–7 g. You can change the dosing amount by turning the
dosing controller. Proceed as follows:
•
Push the pin downwards.
•
You can reduce the quantity by turning the dosing pin clockwise.
•
You can increase the quantity by turning the dosing pin counter-clockwise.
•
A full rotation of the pin reduces or increases the coffee amount by approx. 0.7 g.

Cleaning
A regular and accurate cleaning of the grinder avoids that the fats and oils in the coffee become rancid and
negatively affect the coffee aroma.
Clean the grinding blades and the windings very carefully. If there are coffee residues left in the winding, the grinder
cannot be adjusted properly.
Important:
Always switch off the machine (power switch in position “0”) and disconnect the power cord before
cleaning the grinder.
1
Clean the empty bean hopper inside and outside with a damp cloth.
2
Dry the bean hopper with a soft, clean cloth.
3
Clean the grinder body with a damp and with a dry cloth.
4
Clean the doser on the inside with a cleaning brush
