Ensure the rammer is in its rear position. Insert an L shaped hex key into the front
of the bolt pin slot and apply light pressure to the back of the valve guide to push
it out of the ETEK5 Body
(see figure 30G)
.
Inspect the sealing face of both the exhaust valve
(labelled

and
valve guide
(labelled
A
figure 30I)
for any excessive wear or damage. If either
the exhaust valve or the valve guide are damaged/scratched then replace with
authentic ETEK5 parts.
Lubricate the o-ring on the valve guide
(labelled
B
figure 30I)
.
Lubricate the o-ring on the valve plug
(labelled
A
figure 30J)
.
Place the exhaust valve in the valve guide, making sure that the sealing faces
are next to each other
(see figure 30K)
, and place the valve spring over the
end of the exhaust valve and then place this sub-assembly into the valve stem
(see figure30L)
.
WARNING!
Always de-gas your marker, discharging any stored gas in a safe direction,
and remove the barrel, loader, air system and any paintballs to make the
marker e asier and safer to work on.
If you are unsure about performing a maintenance procedure please
contact your nearest service centre.
