Configuration of the PC
First, open the Properties dialog of the corresponding network adapter (LAN connection). In order to do this
select Properties under the menu item Network, open Adapter Configuration and select the connected network
interface. The Properties dialog can be opened with the right hand mouse button.
In the screen which now opens select the option Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IP).
The following settings are to be used for the connection to the LAN-Gateway:

IP address:
192.168.161.
1

Subnet mask
255.255.255.0
•
Standard gateway
192.168.161.254
The DNS server need not be set.
Press
OK
to confirm.
Any IP address from the private IP address range can be used (e.g.
192.168.0.1 …
192.168.255.254
). However, identical network areas and subnet masks must be used for
the LAN-Gateway and the PC.
