Trailering Camera System
Step 8:
On the outside of the door secure the Fakra connector side
of the camera harness to the fish tape using electrical tape.
This will allow us to route the short cable from outside of the
door to the inside of the door.
Step 9:
Grab the fish tape from inside the vehicle
and pull it and the camera cable through
the rubber membrane so that the Fakra
cable end sits next to the factory mirror
connectors. This will require some
manipulation to get through the rubber
membrane. Work slowly to ensure that the
camera harness does not get damaged
during routing.
Step 10:
Release the rubber grommet from the
door by grabbing and pulling on the
attached tab.
Step 11:
Remove the 7mm bolt securing the speaker,
unplug the speaker and set aside. This will
aide in routing the camera cable in the door.
