STOP SWITCH - "SLIDE SWITCH" mounted on top of handle. Push forward to start and run. Slide back to stop.

THROTTLE TRIGGER - Spring loaded to return to idle when released. During acceleration, press trigger gradually
for best operating technique.

BLOWER PIPES - Twist lock design.

MUFFLER/SPARK ARRESTOR - The muffler controls the exhaust noise while the spark arrestor prevents hot,
glowing particles of carbon from leaving the muffler where they could possibly start a fire.

SPARK PLUG - Provides spark to ignite fuel mixture.

RECOIL STARTER HANDLE - Pull handle slowly until starter engages,then quickly and firmly. When engine starts,
return handle slowly. DO NOT let handle snap back or damage to unit will occur.

FUEL TANK CAP - Covers and seals fuel tank.

CHOKE - The choke control is located on the top of the air filter case. Pull choke knob up to close the choke for cold
starting. Push knob down for the "RUN" position.
9.
AIR CLEANER - Contains replaceable felt element.
10. THROTTLE POSITION KNOB - Pull back to increase engine speed. Friction washers maintain throttle lever
setting.
11. PRIMER BULB - Before starting and after filling the fuel tank, pump primer bulb 10 times or until a steady stream of
fresh fuel without air bubbles is visible through the "clear" fuel return line.
