Engine operation
4.
Move the choke lever (C) to the "Cold Start" (D) position.
5.
Push the purge bulb (E) until fuel is visible in clear fuel return
line.
6.
Keep throttle dial (F) at START position (G:in the middle of
scale).
7.
Hold the product firmly as shown in the illustration, pull the
starter grip until first firing sound.
8.
Move the choke lever to the "Run" (H) position and continue
pulling on the starter grip to start the engine.
9.
Leave the engine to warm up at idle speed for a while.
Starting a warm engine
1.
Move the ignition switch (A) to the Start position (B).
2.
Check that the choke lever is in the "Run" position.
3.
Move throttle dial to START position (G).
4.
If fuel tank is not empty, pull starter grip one to three times
and engine should fire. Do not use choke.
5.
If fuel tank is empty, after refilling, push the purge bulb (until
fuel is visible in clear fuel return line) and the pull the starter
grip. Do not use choke.
Stopping the engine
1.
Move the throttle dial (A) to the idle speed position and set
the engine to idling (i.e. low speed).
2.
Move the ignition switch (A) to the Stop position.
3.
In the event of an emergency, stop the engine immediately
using the ignition switch.
4.
If the engine fails to stop, move the choke lever to the "Cold
Start" position. The engine will stall and come to a halt (an
emergency stop).

If the engine fails to stop when the ignition switch is used, have
the ignition switch checked and repaired by your dealer before
you use the product again.
5.
Always disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug to
ensure the engine cannot be started before you work on the
unit or leave it unattended.
NOTE
If engine does not start after 4 pulls, use cold starting proce-
dures.
NOTE
When misting liquid is over, stop the engine. Do not keep
engine running, chemical tank has been emptied.
IMPORTANT
Stopping engine without returning to idling may cause fail-
ure. Except in case of emergency never fail to stop engine
after shifting to idling.
