Daily maintenance
10/15 Hour maintenance
Remove the sprocket cover and inspect the sprocket (A) for
excessive dirt, debris, or wear. Remove the guide bar and
clean out the guide bar groove. If the sprocket is excessively
worn, replace it with a new one.
50-Hour maintenance
Lubricate the gear case
To perform this operation, first remove the gear case from the
outer tube as follows:
1. Loosen the gear case clamp bolt (B).
2. Remove the index bolt (C) from the gear case.
3. Slide the gear case out of the tube.
WARNING
Observe the following precautions when checking and maintaining your product after use:
Turn power to unit off, remove battery, and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop.
An accident could occur if the product starts unexpectedly.
Allow unit to cool before performing service.
You could burn yourself.
Wear gloves when handling saw chain.
Serious personal injury may result.
IMPORTANT
Checking and maintenance requires specialist knowledge. If you are unable to check and maintain the product or deal with a
fault yourself, consult your dealer. Do not attempt to dismantle the product.
IMPORTANT
Time intervals are maximum. Actual use and your experience will determine the frequency of required maintenance.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact your dealer.
Prior to each work day, perform the following:
Clean any debris or dirt from the cutting attachment.
Lubricate the cutters before use. Check the cutters for damage or incorrect adjustment.
Check for loose or missing screws or components. Make sure the cutting attachment is securely fastened.
Make sure nuts, bolts, and screws are tight.
CAUTION
Do not remove the D-shaped shim washer (A) from the
gear case clamp. The shim washer prevents damage
from over-tightening the gear case clamp bolt.
