Principle and advantages of induction heating
The main advantage of the induction heating is the elimination of heat losses, because it heats the bottom
of the pot directly. If you use el. cooktops with hotplates or ceramic cooktop, always the burner or hotplate
is heated first and only then this heat is transferred to the bottom of the pot. This transfer is a source of high
heat losses, especially if the bottom of the pot and the plate do not fit exactly (there is an air gap or burnt food
between the two surfaces). On the other hand, during the induction heating, the bottom of the pot is heated
much faster, so that cooking takes place faster with a significantly lower power consumption.
Suitable cookware for cooking on an induction hob
Before use, make sure that the pot you are going to use is made of a magnetizable conductive material (enamel,
cast iron, stainless steel) and that the bottom of the container is flat and even with min. diameter 12 cm.
Surfaces so marked can
become hot during use!
