Handling – adequate measures must be taken with regard to handling this stove (see 23
Technical for weight) with especial regard to loading; unloading and site handling.
Fire cement – certain products and fire cements are caustic when in contact with skin.
Always use protective gloves when handling and wash skin immediately if contact with the
skin is made.
Asbestos – This stove contains no asbestos. If there is a possibility of disturbing asbestos in
the course of installing this stove, seek specialist advice immediately and use appropriate
protective equipment.
Metal and Silicon Carbide Parts – When installing or servicing this stove care should be taken
to avoid the risk of personal injury.
A fireguard to BS8423:2002 should be used around the stove in the presence of children; the
aged or the infirm.
CO alarms – This stove should only be installed with a co detector fitted within the same
room as this appliance. If the alarm sounds follow the instructions given under warning on
the first page of this manual.
