Function
In this monitoring mode, the UV radia-
tion of gas and oil flames is used for the
formation of the flame signal. The radia-
tion detector is a UV sensitive cell with
two electrodes which is ignited by radia
tion in the wave length range between
190 and 270nm, thus generating a cur-
rent in the flame detector circuit.
The UV cell does not respond to the
after-glowing firebricks of the furnace or
the daylight.
