The
final piece of data on a line is the line checksum denoted here by ‘CC’. This is a
two’s complement byte checksum. The checksum is calculated by summing the block
number byte, the two block offset bytes, and the 16 data bytes together and taking the
two’s complement of this value which becomes the line checksum. Like the data bytes,
this value is converted into two ASCII characters for transmission.
Each line of data is terminated by a return (OD Hex) line feed (OA
represented by ‘xx’.
